- The Raven Boys (Maggie Stiefvater) or The Alchimist (Paulo Coelho), and for people with mental illnesses – Veronica decides to die by Paulo Coelho.

- Leigh Bardugo or Maggie Stiefvater, definitely
What book would you demote to the library basement to make room for new books?
- The whole horror and thriller genre. Bye bye.

- Gansey’s face!

The Dream Thieves (Quotes)

The Dream Thieves

“’I am being perfectly fucking civil.’” – Ronan
“’I wish you could be kissed, Jane.’, he said. ‘Because I would beg just one off you. Under all this.’ He flailed an arm towards the stars.”
“If you never saw the stars, candles were enough.” – Blue
“She wore a dress Ronan thought looked like a lampshade. Whatever sort of lamp it belonged on, Gansey clearly wished he had one. Ronan wasn’t a fan of lamps.”
“He was brother to a liar and brother to an angel, son of a dream and son of a dreamer”
“Silence was never a wrong answer.”
“Just her and the pink switchblade. They were a good pair. Both incapable of opening up without cutting someone.” – Blue
“There aren’t terrible ideas. Just ideas done terribly.”
“’When I’m gone,’ Gansey said, pausing, ‘dream me the world’” – Gansey
“A secret is a strange thing. All of us have secrets in our lives. We’re keepers or kept from. Players or played.”
“He hadn’t realized yet that Ganey could persuade even the sun to pause and give him the time.”
“In some parallel universe, there was a Gansey who could tell Blue that he found the ten inches of her bare calves far more tantalizing than the thirteen cubic feet of bare skin Orla sported. But in this universe, that was Adam’s job. He was in a terrible mood.” – Gansey
“Calla readjusted, wrapping the silk around her other thigh instead. ‘Which one’s he again? The pretty one?’ Blue and Gansey exchanged a look. Blue’s look said, I’m so, so sorry. Gansey’s said, Am I the pretty one?
“Arbores loqui latine. The trees speak Latin.”
“Ronan’s second secret was Adam Parrish.”
“’Ronan,’ Noah said, ‘I have a super bad feeling.’
‘It’s called being dead,’ Ronan replied.
“He left Chainsaw behind, much to her irritation. Ronan didn’t want her to learn bad language.”
“’I thought you said scrying was a bad idea.’
‘It’s like vodka,’ Calla said. ‘It really depends on who’s doing it.”
“Adam looked up at Ronan. ‘I know it was you,’ he said. ‘I figured it out. The rent.’ He held Ronan’s gaze for just a moment longer, until something inside Ronan unwound and eh almost said something.”

The Ultimate Book Tag

Nope I haven't been tagged by anybody, but I'll still do it. It's fun so whatever! Also I'm tagging YOU. Have fun.

Created by Chapter Chicks

Do you get sick while reading in a car?
- I get even sick without reading in the car, so I don’t even dare.
Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why?
- Maggie Stiefvater’s, because while you’re reading, it’s like being in a dream. Seriously, like you’re dreaming and the moment you close the book, it’s like waking up.
Harry Potter Series or the Twilight Saga? Give 3 points to defend your answer.
- Harry Potter, but nice try
Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is in it (besides books)?
- Nope, but I wanted to purchase one of these cute little book bags. Maybe someday.
Do you smell your books?
- YES.
Books with or without little illustrations?
- With.
What book did you love while reading but discovered later it wasn’t quality writing?
- Most New Adult books, but I read them anyway, so …
Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood? Please share!
- Sadly, no. I used to hate books when I was a child.
What is the tiniest book on your shelf?
- A Serbian book with quotes called “Izreke bez filtera” by Marijan Groselj
What is the thickest book on your shelf?
- War and Peace by Tolstoy. And Winter by Marissa Meyer
Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author?
- I LOVE writing and plotting, so it would be a dream come true, if I’m able to call myself an author one day.
When did you get into reading?
- when I was about 13 years old.
What is your favourite classic book?
- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
In school what was your best subject?
- Psychology & Philosophy and right now it’s English
If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated, what would you do?
- Probably host a giveaway, give it to a friend or (as the las option) sell it, but it’s about who bought it. If I love this person, I’ll keep it and would rather sell my already owned edition.
What is a lesser known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games?
- I don’t know any but Carry on by Rainbow Rowell.
What is a bad habit you always do while blogging?
- I listen to music or do something else entirely, instead of simply sitting down and writing blog entries.
What is your favourite word?
- no idea, really
Are you a nerd, dork, or dweeb? Or all of the above?
- None of them … I’m a Geek! Sorry.
Vampires or Fairies? Why?
- Fairies but like the High Fae … especially Az, Cassian and Rhys …
Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?
- Angels – because I would be afraid of a shapeshifter’s power
Spirits or Werewolves? Why?
- Werewolves. I love wolves
2Zombies or Vampires? Why?
 - Vampires, because I’m not a Zombie fan, that’s why
Love Triangle or Forbidden Love?
Forbidden Love!!!! – any suggestions, tell me!
And finally: Full on romance books or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in?
Honestly? Depends on my current mood. I love both, but I don’t like books without an OTP.

The Raven Boys (Quotes)

As I promised I made a The Raven Cycle Quote Collection! Some are from Goodreads, some are from my reading journal, written while reading. I hope you enjoy it, as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I love TRC and EVERYONE knows it. I mean I’m telling everyone at any time possible, so of course I created this little quote collection, which will be separated into the four books, so you’ll know where to find them. Every Friday there will be a collection of the book's quotes. Today we have THE RAVEN BOYS!
It’s spoilery people … but worth it, I promise. ANd it has been beautiful, to dive into this world again ... I mean I read every book twice and it is only the middle of 2017! I'll probably reread it again!

The Raven Boys

“If I were a tree, I would have no reason to love humans.” – Blue
“’You are being self-pitying’
‘I’m nearly done. You don’t have much more of this to bear.’
‘I like you better this way’
‘Crushed and broken’, Gansey said. ‘Just the way women like ‘em’” – conversation between Blue and Gansey.
“They were always walking away from him. But he never seemed able to walk away from them.”
“Ronan said, ‘I’m always straight’
Adam replied, ‘Oh, man, that’s the biggest lie you’ve ever told.’”

“People shout when they don’t have the vocabulary to whisper.” Gansey or one of Gansey’s parents.
“Truth be told, he wasn’t very good at flying a helicopter, despite several lessons. He seemed to lack the important ability to orient himself vertically as well as horizontally, which led to disagreements involving trees.” – Gansey’s thoughts about himself and flying helicopters
“Sometimes, some rare times, a secret stays undiscovered because it is something too big for a mind to hold. It’s to vast, too terrifying to contemplate.”
